Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the network-wide recruitment and enrollment strategy across elementary and middle school portfolios.
  • Set annual and quarterly recruitment and enrollment goals in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Analyze full-funnel enrollment data including leads, applications, offers, yield, retention, attrition, discharges, and no-shows to forecast trends and proactively mitigate risk.
  • Monitor and manage the full enrollment funnel, ensuring strong follow-up, lead nurturing, and conversion practices.
  • Regularly evaluate enrollment initiatives and sunset low-impact strategies in favor of high-yield practices.
  • Serve as people manager for the network-wide enrollment team, including Enrollment Managers, Student Recruiter Coordinators, and dotted line manager of Enrollment Captains.
  • Set clear roles, expectations, performance metrics, and accountability structures.
  • Lead regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, and performance check-ins.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate onboarding, professional development, and training.
  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven team culture aligned to Brilla norms and goals.
  • Make staffing recommendations, including role design, hiring needs, and organizational improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage, workload balance, and clear escalation pathways across campuses.
  • Serve as system owner for SchoolMint, HubSpot, ATS, PowerSchool, and all enrollment-related workflows.
  • Ensure systems are accurate, aligned, and efficient across platforms.
  • Oversee network-wide data hygiene, cleanup, deduplication, and integrity efforts.
  • Partner with Data and Operations teams to resolve system issues and streamline processes.
  • Leverage data to drive forecasting, decision-making, and leadership reporting.
  • Lead and oversee the annual enrollment lottery in full compliance with authorizer and state requirements.
  • Ensure correct prioritization, offer management, documentation, and communication timelines.
  • Maintain accountability for lottery setup, execution, and system readiness.
  • Train enrollment staff on lottery procedures and compliance expectations.
  • Own and manage network-wide student retention strategies in partnership with campus leadership and enrollment captains.
  • Analyze attrition and discharge trends and identify root causes.
  • Develop and adjust campus-specific retention plans to minimize withdrawals.
  • Partner with school leaders to implement timely interventions for at-risk families.
  • Track retention metrics and integrate insights into seat planning and projections.
  • Design, standardize, and oversee high-impact enrollment events, including ACE events and New to Brilla events.
  • Establish clear goals, timelines, staffing plans, and success metrics.
  • Ensure events are family-centered, well-executed, and aligned to network priorities.
  • Evaluate outcomes and continuously refine event models to maximize conversion.
  • Ensure enrollment practices are timely, equitable, and family-centered.
  • Oversee enrollment communications, outreach standards, and follow-up practices.
  • Guide open houses, tours, community-based recruitment, and neighborhood outreach.
  • Oversee Family Ambassador programs, Partner Parish outreach, and CBO partnerships.
  • Identify and remove systemic barriers to enrollment and retention.
  • Manage external recruitment, CRM, and enrollment and marketing consultants.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for HubSpot optimization consultants, translating enrollment needs into workflows and reporting.
  • Set scopes of work, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Evaluate consultant effectiveness and ROI.
  • Engage with external partners (billboards, subway, out-of-home advertising).
  • Identify and evaluate new marketing channels based on cost, reach, and yield.
  • Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment with brand and timelines.
  • Track campaign performance and make data-informed recommendations.
  • Own and approve Standard Operating Procedures for all enrollment processes (applications, lottery, transfers, discharges, withdrawals).
  • Ensure SOPs are documented, trained, and consistently implemented.
  • Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner cross-functionally to strengthen workflows and execution.
  • Serve as the primary enrollment liaison to senior leadership.
  • Provide regular enrollment updates, projections, and risk assessments.
  • Partner with campus leaders to align enrollment strategy with school culture and capacity.
  • Support leadership decision-making with clear, actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of enrollment, operations, or school-based leadership experience
  • Experience managing teams and coaching staff
  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and data systems
  • Experience with SchoolMint, PowerSchool, ATS, HubSpot, or similar platforms strongly preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build productive and meaningful relationships with multiple stakeholders including school and network based staff, families, and community members 
  • Proven ability to effectively support, collaborate, and partner with a variety of personalities and working styles and an openness and generosity of spirit in navigating differences
  • A strong capacity to coach and develop others, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence and compliance across the network
  • Project management expertise and the ability to drive efficiency and excellence in all aspects of work alongside and/or through others
  • Optimistic self-starter with the ability to prioritize competing goals, exhibit flexibility, grace and sound judgment along with productive urgency in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to leverage data to drive operational decisions, identify trends, and implement strategic improvements to enhance overall effectiveness and compliance across the network.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10-20% of the time, primarily within the US
