Technical Tools

  • Plan and execute company events including full-team retreats, department kickoffs, holiday parties, and Bay Area team gatherings.

  • Run the monthly All Hands — content coordination, slide prep, dry runs, and day-of logistics.

  • Operationalize company values and milestones through programming that keeps the team connected as we grow.

  • Coordinate school site visits and other in-person experiences that connect the team to our mission.

  • Own the employee onboarding program end-to-end — from offer acceptance through the first 90 days.

  • Handle HR administration in TriNet, including payroll audits, leave administration, and compliance forms.

  • Execute DEIB programming with support from the Head of Operations.

  • Manage I-9 audits, labor compliance, and state-specific requirements.

  • Coordinate IT onboarding and offboarding with our managed IT provider, including laptop provisioning, account setup, and access revocation.

  • Own Ashby (our ATS) — keep the system clean, accurate, and useful for the hiring team.

  • Manage interview scheduling, candidate logistics, and communication throughout the pipeline.

  • Ensure every candidate has a great experience interacting with Brisk, regardless of outcome.

  • Process accounts receivable — invoicing, revenue reconciliation, and collections.

  • Handle accounts payable and vendor payments.

  • Administer Ramp, including expense review, policy compliance, and user management.

  • Coordinate with our bookkeeper on monthly close preparation.

  • Support contract renewals and procurement coordination.

  • Manage our San Francisco and New York City offices and our coworking space.

  • Maintain internal knowledge bases and Slack workspace organization.

  • Support internal communications — weekly updates, announcements, and information flow.

  • Take on ad hoc operational projects as they come up.

  • 2–4 years of experience in operations, people operations, office management, or a generalist role at a startup — ideally somewhere you wore a lot of hats and figured things out as you went.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without dropping balls. You're the person who naturally builds checklists, tracks deadlines, and follows up before anyone has to ask.

  • Clear, professional communication skills — you interact with everyone from new hires to executives to external partners, and you adjust your approach accordingly.

  • A genuine interest in employee experience and making people feel supported, welcomed, and connected at work.

  • Comfort with tools and systems — you pick up new software quickly, keep data clean, and look for ways to make processes more efficient.

  • A bias toward action and ownership. When you see something that needs doing, you do it. You don't need someone to assign you the work.

  • Comfort using AI tools to automate repetitive work and build better processes. You reach for Claude or build a workflow before defaulting to manual effort.

  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential employee and financial data.
