Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to coordinate the secure, compliant, and effective delivery of exams and related operations across a country or location, ensuring all test-day and post-test activities — including venues, equipment, materials, and staff — meet global quality and security standards. The role also oversees the selection and management of venues and equipment, ensuring resources are cost-effective and aligned with British Council and awarding body requirements. Sitting within E&E Operations, it supports smooth exam delivery through day-to-day coordination, with key priorities including end-to-end operational readiness, venue and equipment planning and compliance, adherence to security and SOPs, continuous improvement in logistics and customer experience, and building capability and consistency across operations teams. Main Accountabilities This role coordinates test-day and post-test operations in line with global SOPs, security standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure smooth and compliant delivery. The post holder manages internal and external venues, delivery partners, equipment, and operational resources to ensure readiness and service quality, while overseeing the secure handling of confidential materials and resolving operational issues or escalations promptly. The role also supports venue audits, incident management, and the maintenance of audit-ready documentation, ensuring full compliance with exam security requirements. In addition, the role coordinates communication with candidates, partners, and internal teams, monitors feedback and service performance, manages venue and supplier contracts and costs, and coordinates delivery staff and test-day teams to drive operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. Knowledge & Experience Education Essential: * Degree or equivalent experience. Desirable: * Lean Six Sigma qualification. Experience Essential: * Experience coordinating secure, regulated service delivery (e.g. exams, logistics, events). * Proven ability to manage venues, equipment, and logistics to strict security and quality standards. * Experience supervising staff or contractors. Desirable: * Experience working with awarding bodies or educational assessment services. * Good understanding of compliance, confidentiality, and audit requirements.
