Role Description/Purpose
To support the planning and delivery of UK examinations, enabling the British Council to achieve its objectives by ensuring quality and compliance standards are met and the highest levels of service are offered to both internal and external customers.
Role Accountabilities
We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the planning and delivery of UK examinations with the British Council. In this role, you will be responsible for exam logistics, test day planning, post-test activities, and the allocation of test day staff and examiners. You will ensure operational excellence in the delivery of Distribution and other examinations, adhering to India Exams, global, and board-specific procedures and policies while meeting all required timelines. A key part of the role involves maintaining secure and compliant storage of examination materials and data, coordinating resources effectively during peak activity periods, and ensuring financial tasks are completed in line with British Council’s financial control standards.
You will play a vital role in supporting exam operations and logistics, managing pre- and post-test delivery, and serving as the first point of communication with customers and vendors. The position requires strict compliance with service level agreements, turnaround times, and corporate standards, including audits, quality control, compliance, equality, diversity and inclusion, data protection, and safeguarding. By ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and security across all aspects of exam delivery, you will contribute directly to the British Council’s mission of providing high-quality services to both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
* Graduate degree in any discipline
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in Operations
* Excellent written and spoken English

Applications are also welcomed from candidates currently based in other British Council country offices. However, please note candidates must have a natural right to work in the country, on a permanent basis, as immigration clearance and/or on-going visa support is not provided by the British Council for this role. Relocation support is also not provided.
Work Schedule: Working hours may follow a shift rotation between 08:00 and 20:00. The weekly rota consists of 5 working days, which could be Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, but may occasionally include Sundays.
India (OCI)
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders will need have, or be able to obtain, a valid special work permit issued from Government of India (GOI) to work in the British High Commission (BHC). BHC will not be able to sponsor work visas or obtain/ assist with the special work permit from GOI. Offers of employment made to OCI card holders will be conditional upon candidates obtaining a special work permit.
