The Role: A senior FP&A CoE leadership role responsible for owning and optimising global FP&A processes, driving process excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, managing change and delivery priorities, collaborating with senior stakeholders, and leading a team to ensure efficient, standardised, and strategically aligned planning processes. Accountabilities: Lead continuous improvement and process optimisation * Drive the design, coordination, and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across global FP&A processes, taking ownership of the FP&A transformation journey and ensuring successful transition from the Transformation team to the target operating model. * Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities, developing and implementing strategies that optimise workflows, streamline operations, and strengthen overall process effectiveness. * Prioritise change initiatives based on business value and strategic alignment, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements while monitoring outcomes to validate success and realise long-term benefits. Oversee change implementation and stakeholder communication * Develop and execute change implementation plans, track progress and risks, communicate updates to stakeholders, coordinate smooth adoption across FP&A teams, and ensure business requirements are effectively aligned, prioritised, and delivered through strong cross-functional collaboration. Monitor performance and drive accountability * Establish and monitor KPIs to measure process performance and adoption, provide actionable insights to leadership, manage risks and issues across workstreams, ensure compliance with process standards, and embed continuous learning to drive sustainable improvement and accountability across regions and business units. Foster a culture of collaboration and high performance * Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration across FP&A, business, and technology functions. Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing through coaching, training, and documentation, while promoting accountability, constructive feedback, and effective problem-solving across the FP&A community. Role specific knowledge and experience: Essential: * Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end process optimisation * Hands-on experience establishing and managing process standards, including creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), control frameworks, RACI models, and global process documentation * Proven leadership in guiding teams through change, including coaching team members, influencing stakeholders, and driving adoption of new ways of working * Strong understanding of financial concepts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, driver-based forecasting). * Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau). * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable: * Formal training or certification in process excellence, such as Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, BPM certification, or operational excellence qualification * Finance qualifications – ACCA / CIMA etc * Experience working with SAP products, especially SAP ECC * Background in finance (FP&A) or finance consulting experience in services, fintech, or consulting. * Familiarity with other EPM tools (Oracle, OneStream, IBM TM1, SAP BPC). Role specific skills: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. * Strong capability in developing strategies, roadmaps, and action plans to embed operational excellence * Experienced in navigating complex global environments and balancing diverse stakeholder priorities * Supports capability building through documentation, training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives * Skilled in developing and tracking KPIs to monitor process efficiency, effectiveness, and adoption * Proficiency in Excel, exposure to BI tools and FP&A systems is an advantage. Education: Graduate Language Requirements: The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required.
