Pay Band: 2 / J Country/Location: Madrid & Granada Contract Type: Indefinite Local Contract Salary scale: EUR 1,811 to EUR 3,115 (per annum) Closing Date: Sunday, 23rd August 2026 - 23:59 Malaysia Time (GMT +8) Role Purpose To ensure the smooth and effective delivery of British Council tests by managing assigned test-day duties and maintaining all required testing standards. Role Accountabilities The role is responsible for supporting the smooth and secure delivery of examinations by preparing test venues, managing candidate flow and procedures, conducting identity and entry/exit checks, monitoring candidates, safeguarding confidential exam materials, ensuring compliance with examination standards and British Council policies, providing a positive customer experience, accurately completing required records and reports, and working collaboratively with supervisors, invigilators and examination teams. Role specific skills, knowledge and experience Candidates should have experience in customer service, including responding professionally and effectively to the needs of children, young adults and parents, with the ability to understand and follow compliance-regulated procedures and guidelines. Experience in examination invigilation, along with awareness of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, would be desirable. Further Information Language: Candidates should have an English language proficiency of CEFR B2 or equivalent (e.g. Cambridge English FCE or IELTS 6.5) across listening, speaking, reading and writing. CEFR C1 or equivalent (e.g. Cambridge English CAE or IELTS 7.0) or above would be desirable. Education: Candidates should have Bachillerato or FP Superior as the minimum educational qualification. A University Degree would be desirable. Proof of Identity & Right to Work: Locally Recruited -. Additional job requirements: The role may occasionally require travel, including overnight stays, as well as working on weekends and public holidays, although this will not apply to the majority of invigilators. Candidates will be asked to indicate their willingness to travel during the recruitment process. The role may also require flexibility to work extended hours in the early morning or late evening to support examinations scheduled outside standard working hours.
