Education Project Coordinator, Ukraine Please note that candidates must have the pre-existing legal right to work in Ukraine at the time of application. Role Purpose Supports the Education team in the implementation of programmes and projects in compliance with British Council policies and procedures, including financial administration, reporting and data collection, operational project delivery, and managing relationships with delivery partners. Role Context This role sits within the Cultural Engagement (CE) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). CE brings together our portfolio of work in arts, education, English, and research. Our portfolio is delivered through a set of globally led programmes that position our work and impact within our strategic framework. These programmes deliver our key performance indicators and impact ambitions. All programme management roles deliver activities and projects within this global programme and strategic framework. Our programmes are funded through the British Council's Grant-in-Aid, partnerships, and external clients. Main Accountabilities Managing Self and Others * Hold vendors and suppliers accountable for delivering services. * Work independently and effectively manage workload to meet project deadlines. Financial Support * Plan and report on project financial plans, budget expenditure, and forecasting to Programme Managers and the Head of Programme Delivery. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions in line with audit requirements. * Ensure vendor relationships are maintained and payments are processed accurately and on time in accordance with FABS online system (SAP Finance) guidelines. * Ensure compliance with British Council financial policies and procedures. Project Management * Manage programme data, including timely data entry, quality assurance, basic monitoring data analysis, and preparation of progress reports for funders. * Support internal compliance activities, including due diligence, records management, data collection, and document storage. * Manage grants administration, selection and evaluation processes, and procurement activities. * Coordinate programme events, workshops, and training activities. * Support Project and Programme Managers in implementing diversity mainstreaming action plans and contribute to their successful delivery. Relationship and Stakeholder Management * Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. * Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring agreed services are delivered effectively. Role Specific Knowledge and Experience Minimum / Essential Requirements * Experience working in a programme or project support role. * Administrative and financial administration experience. * Good understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles and their application to effective project management. Language Requirements The British Council's systems and global processes operate in English. Applicants must demonstrate: * English: C1 level proficiency. * Ukrainian: C1 level proficiency (or another nationally recognised language as applicable).
