Are you a dedicated and organized professional with expertise in workers' compensation, employee benefits, and leave management? The Town of Brookline is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Specialist with strong skills in Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation Management to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the effective management of workers' compensation cases, leave of absence programs such as FMLA and parental leave, and related services to support employees through various life, medical, and injury-related challenges.
About the Role
~1 min readAs the Human Resources Specialist in Worker's Comp and Leave Management, you will coordinate all aspects of leave management, including Workers' Compensation, injury on duty (IOD), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), ADA accommodations, military leave, parental leave, and more. You’ll play a vital role in communication and case management, acting as a liaison between employees, medical providers, insurance carriers, and managers, while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, such as FMLA, ADA, 111F, and OSHA.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in workers’ compensation or disability claims or third-party leave and claims management.

Requirements
~1 min read- In-depth knowledge of Workers' Compensation, FMLA, ADA, 111F, and OSHA regulations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to effectively interact with employees, managers, vendors, and medical providers.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software.
- Ability to manage confidential medical information with discretion.
- Capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address case management challenges.
