The Director, Employment Services oversees Brotherhood Crusade's Proud to Be Me initiative implementation which is uniquely innovative, trauma-informed, human centered, and a Whole Person Care Model that provides extensive wraparound support to Priority Population, Young Adults, and Opportunity Youth in order to prepare them well for and ultimately facilitate their transition into sustained middle-wage employment.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Minimum of three years of youth development experience working with low-income, highly urbanized youth and young adults in marginalized communities
- Passion and commitment to the betterment of all individuals, especially low income and at-risk individuals
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated clinical or non-clinical mental health experience, a working understanding of social emotional learning and adverse childhood experiences, and demonstrated engagement in trauma-informed, trauma-responsive youth development outside of and separate from their work obligations
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university required.
Requirements
~1 min read- Possesses a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
- This position may require some travel.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Spanish / English bilingual preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.
- Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Punctual and dependable attendance.
- Understands Los Angeles Brotherhood Crusade’s basic philosophy and participates fully in carrying out its mission.

What We Offer
~1 min read- Must be available to work Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 9:00am – 5:30pm and Wednesdays from 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
- There may be occurrences when a work or community event occurs on Saturday and/or Sunday. Your work schedule will be revised to accommodate this change and you will be notified in advance.
