A.S. Bryden - Sales Associate (The Naughty Grape Duty-Free)

We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position at The Naughty Grape Duty-Free Store at the Piarco International Airport:

SALES ASSOCIATE (NAUGHTY GRAPE DUTY-FREE)

This role will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers / guests at the Store, assisting Duty-Free Operations Supervisor with administrative duties to ensure a smooth store operation.

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:  

• 
  Delivers first-class service to customers including greeting, in-store guidance, purchase suggestions, packing of purchases, vehicle loading and resolution of any issues
• 
  Maintains strong knowledge of all products and its related pricing
• 
  Receives payments for sales transactions, including charge customer orders, and provides customers with accurate receipt and change
• 
  Answers the telephone, responds to enquiries, takes orders and directs calls accordingly, following up to completion
• 
  Assists with recording liquor licenses and filing paperwork as required
• 
  Rotates stock regularly, positioning products to minimize expiration costs and report all products nearing expiration date to the Duty-Free Operations Supervisor.
• 
  Receives product transfers from the Distribution Centre / Third-Party suppliers into stock rooms, ensuring consistency with transfer / delivery documentation.
• 
  Monitors shelf stock levels, reports stock-outs to the Supervisor, and follows up to ensure items are replenished in a timely manner
• 
  Assists with weekly cycle counts on key product categories reporting results to the Retail Services Supervisor
• 
  Assist with recording visits to the stores by external parties including but not limited to (Customs, Security, Suppliers, Head Office Staff)
• 
  Scans items weekly in an effort to ensure that prices are accurate and barcodes are readable, updating Duty-Free Operations Supervisor of any issues as they arise.
• 
  Close off shifts and balances daily cash transactions and prepares bank deposits as required
• 
  Prepares summary sheet and daily delivery order for submission to the Accounts Department as required
• 
  Assists with general housekeeping (sweeping, mopping and removal of garbage) and maintains the shop floor by dusting shelves & product

• Performs Porter duties as required, including but not limited to:
  • Assists with the design and set up of advertising signs and displays of merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales
  • Receives, unpacks and shelves products
  • Provides courier services for Naughty Grape Duty-Free purchases to the bay area for customers

• 
  Assists with administrative functions as required

Knowledge & Experience:

• 
  A minimum of five (5) CXC passes, including Mathematics and English
• 
  A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a retail sales environment
• 
  Post-Secondary Certification or Diploma would be an asset
• 
  Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
