This is a rare opportunity to join a respected in-house legal team and build broad commercial experience in a fast-moving, international setting. You will work closely with colleagues across the business, taking ownership of agreements and providing practical advice on software, digital and general commercial matters.
Responsibilities
~1 min read• Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including software licences, non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, novation's, amendments and termination documentation.
• Review third-party terms and conditions and advise the business on the legal and commercial implications of entering into them.
• Progress live contract negotiations, liaising directly with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Advise on post-contract matters, general contract law, topical legal issues and the legal aspects of business projects.
• Identify legal risk and recommend pragmatic, commercially workable ways to address it.
• Help improve legal processes, protocols, templates and precedents.
• Support business training and awareness initiatives that help colleagues manage legal risk effectively.
• Contribute to wider legal projects and support senior members of the team where required.
• A qualified solicitor or advocate, ideally with up to five years' post-qualification experience gained in-house or in private practice.
• A sound grounding in commercial contracts, with strong drafting, negotiation and attention-to-detail skills.
• The confidence to take ownership of work, manage competing priorities and see matters through to completion.
• A practical, collaborative approach and the ability to communicate clearly with legal and non-legal stakeholders.
