We are currently seeking multiple Electricians to join our proactive Electrical Maintenance Team. This role is primarily day work, 7.00 am-3.30 pm, however, shift work may be required.
About the Role
~1 min readAs an Electrician, you will have the skills to carry electrical maintenance and capital works to ensure plant performance meets operational targets and objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out electrical maintenance and capital works across plant equipment including wiring, circuitry, mills, turbines, fugals, conveyors, carriers, pumps, fans, gearboxes, motors, and vessels.
- Working as part of a maintenance team to meet production and maintenance targets
- Using condition monitoring techniques to optimise equipment performance
- Completing electrical project work and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Actively supporting Workplace Health and Safety practices
You must hold a current Queensland Electrical Licence endorsed as Electrical Fitter Mechanic, Electrical Mechanic, or equivalent.
Experience within the sugar industry or heavy industrial environments will be highly regarded.
You will also have:
- Experience with plant wiring, lighting, and circuitry.
- Knowledge of motor starters and variable speed drives (VSDs)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with computerised maintenance systems and assisting with plant improvement projects (desirable)
- A proactive approach to safety and teamwork.
