Fitter & Turner

As one of Australia’s largest cane growers, Bundaberg Sugar proudly operates a Sugar Mill, Refinery, and Packaging Plant. We are more than just a company, we are a vital part of the industry and community in Bundaberg, Queensland.

We are currently recruiting for multiple Fitter and Turners to join our proactive maintenance team. This role is primarily day work, 7.00 am-3.30 pm, however, given the nature of our operations, shift work may be required.

As a Fitter & Turner, you will be responsible for maintaining plant reliability and supporting operational targets. Your duties will include:

• Performing maintenance and capital works on mill plant equipment, including mills, boilers, turbines, fugals, conveyors, pumps, fans, gearboxes, motors, pressure vessels and valves.
• Undertaking advanced fitting tasks, including welding and hydraulic work.
• Using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record and manage work.
• Actively contributing to Workplace Health and Safety initiatives

Experience in general fitting, basic welding, TIG welding, steam turbine and repair maintenance is essential.
