Bundaberg Sugar is seeking 8 motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our Cane Supply team as Track Railway Maintainers on a permanent full-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to build a long-term career in rail maintenance.

About the Role
~1 min readReporting to the Track Maintenance and Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting safe and efficient railway maintenance operations and be required to;
- Supervise and coordinate a small work group to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Operate mobile plant including cranes, front-end loaders, and trucks.
- Carry out track maintenance and general maintenance duties within your skillset.
- Perform dogging duties and assist with lifting operations.
- Conduct equipment checks and ensure all tools and machinery are in safe working order.
- Report faults, defects, and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Contribute to safety initiatives and ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and company policies.
- Hold a current Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Have an interest in rail operations, mechanical work and heavy industry.
- Proven ability to supervise or lead a team.
- Strong skills in operating and maintaining mobile plants.
- Dogging experience and the ability to perform oxy cutting.
- Non-slewing mobile crane, Front-end loader, Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence desirable.
- AC/DC licence for herbicide application would be beneficial.
- Additional plant tickets (forklift, backhoe, articulated vehicles) highly regarded.
