We are seeking a Distribution Center (DC) Lead based out of Tacoma, Washington! The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience in warehouse or distribution operations. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, with Monday and Friday starting at 11:00 AM, and Tuesday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 7:00/7:30 PM, with flexibility to work until 8:00 PM as needed.
Purpose: As a Distribution Center (DC) Lead, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory organization, while leading a team to meet productivity and accuracy goals. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

What you’ll be doing…
As a Distribution Center (DC) Lead, you’ll support daily warehouse operations while leading associates across a full range of distribution activities, including order fulfillment, packing and labeling shipments, receiving inbound freight, stocking inventory, preparing pallets for shipping, and processing returns. You will ensure accuracy and productivity standards are consistently met by carefully verifying orders and delivering the right products to the right customers. In this role, you’ll also provide an exceptional experience through positive and professional interactions with clients, partners, and team members. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is essential, as you’ll help foster a “safety first” culture through daily practices and accountability. Success in this position also includes contributing to team performance, supporting company initiatives, taking on new responsibilities, and continuously improving processes as needed.

What you’ll need…
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of previous warehouse experience.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Ability to build positive working and professional relationships at all levels and across function – to inspire confidence and serve as a teacher and mentor.
- Ability to plan and prioritize daily and weekly work schedules for yourself and your team.
- Ability and commitment to support, communicate and apply Burkhart policies consistently.
- Well-developed decision making and task prioritization skills and abilities.
- Ability to type accurately at 40 words per minute.
- Efficiently operate computer programs that include Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Familiar with RF Scanners and other data entry hardware.
- Ability to learn warehouse management system.
- Certified or ability to become certified to operate forklift, stock picker, WAV picker, pallet jack, and other product moving equipment.
Salary Info: The salary range for this position is: $23.50 - $24.50 per hour.
Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.
