We believe dogs deserve the healthiest, most natural and tastiest meals - with none of the nasties. That’s why we make FRESHly prepared food, cooked just like you would at home and delivered direct to our customers in perfect portions. As a B-Corp certified company, you’re joining a sustainable business that genuinely cares about our people, our products and our impact on the planet. Our goal is simple: to help dogs live healthier, happier, and longer lives, while leaving humans smiling after every interaction.
We’ve come a long way since our co-founders (Kev & Dave), hand delivered the very first Butternut Box. Today, we feed hundreds of thousands of hungry dogs across the UK and Europe - but we won’t stop until we’re feeding dogs everywhere. To get there, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work for us.
About the Role
~1 min readAre you a high-performing sales professional with a passion for leadership and a love of dogs?
We’re looking for a Sales Team Leader to spearhead our growth across Ireland. You’ll be the leader on the ground, setting the pace for your team and coaching them to greatness.
This is an opportunity to earn a significant income through a combination of your own sales and a lucrative management commission based on your team’s performance. We’re looking for a heavy hitter who can help pet pawrents discover food that makes their dogs thrive, while simultaneously building a world-class sales unit.
- Realistic OTE: €70,000+
- Top Performer Potential: €100,000+
- The Lifestyle: 16 day-shifts per month, giving you the perfect balance of high-intensity work and quality time off.
About the Role
~1 min readAs a Team Leader, you are the bridge between the field and the Regional Manager. You will be based in Cork or Dublin , acting as the anchor for our local presence while coordinating and supporting reps across Dublin, Cork and Belfast.
- Lead by Example: You’ll be on the front lines at shopping centres, food festivals, and dog shows, consistently hitting your own targets to show the team how it’s done.
- Coaching & Development: You aren’t just a closer; you’re a coach. You’ll spend time on-shift and in dedicated training sessions helping Reps sharpen their pitch and boost their retention.
- Performance Analysis: You’ll work closely with the Regional Manager to dive into the data and ensure the team is firing on all cylinders.
- Regional Coordination: You’ll help manage the logistics of our activations across Ireland, ensuring our stands are set up for success and our presence is felt at the biggest events in the country.
What We Offer
~1 min readWe need an experienced salesperson who is ready to step up. You’ve likely mastered face-to-face sales and are now looking for a role where your ability to influence and inspire others is rewarded as much as your ability to close.
- Proven Track Record: You have significant experience in F2F sales and can demonstrate consistent over-performance.
- Natural Leader: You know how to motivate a team, deliver constructive feedback, and keep morale high during long shifts.
- Analytical Mindset: You're comfortable looking at spreadsheets and performance "dials" to figure out where the team needs to improve.
- Mobile & Ambitious: Full clean Driving Licence and car are essential. You’ll be based in Cork or Dublin but will travel across the country to support your team (mileage and accommodation provided for long-distance travel).
- Dog Obsessed: It’s what we do! You need to genuinely love the mission of helping dogs live longer, happier lives.
- Highly Organised: You’re a highly organised individual who is proactive and able to anticipate needs, plan ahead, and take action before issues arise.
- We recommend getting your application in as soon as possible. We reserve the right to close the role early.
-
We’re a small (but mighty!) recruitment team. We aim to respond to everyone personally, but if we’re flooded with brilliant applications, we may need to close the role early. We appreciate your patience while we review applications.
-
For this specific role, we’re unable to offer visa sponsorship, so you’ll need the right to work in the UK/EU.
Butternut Box is an equal opportunity employer. We believe that to make the best food for all dogs, we need a team that represents all humans. We celebrate different nationalities, backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. We are specifically committed to increasing representation from underrepresented groups. We want a strong, diverse team built from different identities and lived experiences. We’re not perfect, but we are dedicated to the ongoing work of building an inclusive, supportive place where you can do the best work of your career.
