Additional information about the company can be found online at www.bwpipelines.com.   We are currently looking for an Accounting Analyst II/III/SR for our Houston, TX location.     POSITION SUMMARY Boardwalk Pipelines is seeking a highly analytical Accounting Analyst to support the billing functions of its natural gas pipeline business. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely invoicing of pipeline transportation and related services in accordance with FERC tariffs and customer agreements.   The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of skills with exceptional analytical and problem solving capabilities. The Accounting Analyst will serve as a key resource in interpreting complex tariff provisions, contract terms, and rate structures to ensure accurate billing and compliance.   The Accounting Analyst role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Contracts, Legal, Revenue Accounting, Gas Accounting, Customer Service, and Operations. Through these partnerships, this role will play a critical role in supporting revenue integrity, interpreting complex contractual arrangements, solving business challenges, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys working cross-functionally and making a meaningful impact on the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Prepare and validate monthly customer invoices for interstate and intrastate natural gas transportation and related services in accordance with FERC tariffs, Statement of Operating Conditions, NAESB standards, and customer agreements.   Perform detailed analysis of transportation and storage billing transactions, throughput volumes, contract terms, rates, fuel retainage, surcharges, and other applicable service charges to ensure billing accuracy.   Interpret and apply tariff provisions, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements to determine applicable rates, billing methodologies, and complex billing scenarios.   Investigate, analyze, and resolve billing discrepancies, revenue variances, and customer inquiries.   Partner with Commercial, Contracts, Legal, Marketing, Revenue Accounting, Customer Service, and Gas Accounting teams to resolve contract interpretation and invoicing issues.   Support the monthly close process through various reconciliations   Develop and maintain reports, analytics, and performance metrics to support billing accuracy.   Assist with audits, regulatory requests, and compliance reporting activities. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:   3-5+ years of experience in the natural gas, midstream, pipeline, or energy industry with emphasis on billing, revenue accounting, or commercial operations. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex data sets and identify root causes of issues. Proven ability to interpret and apply FERC tariffs, contractual agreements, and related documents by translating requirements into accurate billing outcomes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis. Experience investigating and resolving billing, revenue, and system-related issues. Ability to interact and work effectively with a variety of teams. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain concepts to various audiences. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and drive issues to resolution. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: Experience with Power BI, large datasets, and gas management systems.
