The Mailroom Attendant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, organization, and distribution of resident and business mail and packages. This position provides excellent customer service while maintaining an organized, secure, and efficient mailroom operation. The Mailroom Attendant works closely with the Front Office, Management, and other departments to ensure residents receive their mail and packages promptly.

What We Offer

Receive, sort, and organize incoming USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and other carrier deliveries.
Verify package information and accurately log all incoming packages into the property's tracking system.
Notify residents when mail or packages are available for pickup.
Distribute mail to designated mailboxes or pickup locations.
Verify resident identification before releasing accountable mail or packages.
Maintain accurate records of package receipts, pickups, and returns.
Coordinate outgoing mail and package shipments when needed.
Return undeliverable or unclaimed mail according to established procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure mailroom.
Monitor mailroom supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
Report damaged, suspicious, or misdirected mail or packages immediately.
Assist residents with general mail and shipping questions.
Work cooperatively with the Front Office and other departments to support daily resort operations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service, mailroom, shipping/receiving, or office experience preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills and the ability to learn package tracking software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle resident information appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Frequently lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, stoop, reach, and move packages throughout the workday.
  • Operate carts and other material-handling equipment safely.

  • Indoor mailroom and office setting with frequent interaction with residents, guests, and delivery personnel.
  • Fast-paced environment with increased package volume during peak seasonal occupancy.
  • Schedule includes Saturday's and Holidays based on business needs.
