Client Engagement Manager

We’re looking for a proactive and personable individual to join our Drug Delivery Commercial Team. This role is central to our client engagement strategy with large pharma companies, helping us stay front-of-mind with key contacts and ensuring we win new work in design and development of drug delivery devices.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Client Engagement: Maintain regular, personalised contact with our database of ~300 industry professionals and across 25-30 companies, reaching out at least four times per year with relevant content and insights.
- →Content Sharing: As part of client engagement, share marketing materials, thought leadership, and other valuable resources tailored to each contact’s interests and needs.
- →Lead Generation: Identify and engage new contacts within the pharmaceutical and drug delivery sectors to expand our network and influence.
- →Meeting Coordination: Proactively secure meetings for the wider team with contacts to explore potential collaborations and project opportunities.
- →Market Intelligence: Monitor industry developments and trends, sharing relevant updates with the drug delivery commercial team and contributing to strategic discussions.
- →Content Strategy: Feedback observations gathered through market monitoring and contact engagement to the head of Drug Delivery, to allow the Head of Drug Delivery to steer the content generation strategy, enabling the Head of Drug Delivery to ensure content resonates with our audience and supports business growth. For avoidance of doubt the role holder is not required to develop the strategy, nor are they responsible for the generation of the content.
- Proven experience in communications and/or business development, ideally within an engineering consultancy or similar technical environment.
- Familiarity with drug delivery devices and the pharmaceutical industry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated, with a proactive and curious mindset.
- A natural team player, able to work independently while contributing meaningfully to group efforts.
- Someone who is both interested and interesting — able to engage clients with genuine enthusiasm and insight.
- Sufficient technical and clinical aptitude to be conversant in the technical domain of drug delivery, for example being able to appreciate the differences between pMDIs and DPIs with respect to delivery to the lung.
- Familiarity with key medical device development concepts including concept design, development, verification, transfer to manufacture, Human Factors engineering, and so on.
