CampusWorks is seeking a highly analytical and customer-focused Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support a dedicated higher education client. This role serves as the primary reporting and analytics resource for the institution, partnering closely with administrative and academic departments to transform data into actionable insights.

The BI Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing reports, dashboards, and data solutions utilizing the institution’s Ellucian Colleague ERP and Entrinsik Informer reporting platform. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional customer service skills and the ability to translate business requirements into meaningful reporting solutions.

This position is embedded within a single client environment and serves as a trusted advisor to campus stakeholders on reporting, analytics, and data governance initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Design, develop, and maintain operational, tactical, and executive-level reports using Entrinsik Informer.
  • Create dashboards and data visualizations that support institutional decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain ad-hoc reporting solutions for administrative and academic departments.
  • Analyze institutional data trends and provide recommendations to improve business processes and outcomes.
  • Ensure reporting solutions align with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Colleague ERP Support

  • Serve as the primary reporting resource for Ellucian Colleague ERP data.
  • Develop expertise in Colleague modules including:
    • Student
    • Finance
    • Human Resources
    • Advancement
    • Financial Aid
    • Academic Records
    • Assist departments in understanding available data structures and reporting capabilities.
    • Support data validation and reconciliation efforts across Colleague modules.
    • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Meet regularly with campus leaders and departmental representatives to gather reporting requirements.
    • Translate business needs into technical specifications and reporting solutions.
    • Provide consultative guidance on data interpretation and reporting best practices.
    • Deliver training and support to end users on Informer reporting capabilities.
    • Data Governance & Quality

    • Promote data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting environments.
    • Identify data quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
    • Document reporting definitions, business rules, and data standards.
    • Assist with establishing reporting governance and institutional reporting standards.
    • Continuous Improvement

    • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.
    • Recommend enhancements to reporting architecture and data delivery methods.
    • Stay current on Ellucian Colleague, Informer, and higher education reporting best practices.
    • Participate in strategic planning discussions related to analytics and institutional effectiveness.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Higher Education Administration, or related field.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
    • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or ERP support.
    • Experience developing reports and dashboards for business stakeholders.
    • Experience working directly with end users to gather and refine reporting requirements.
    • Strong understanding of relational databases and reporting concepts.
    • Experience with Ellucian Colleague ERP.
    • Experience with Entrinsik Informer reporting platform.
    • Strong SQL and database querying skills.
    • Knowledge of reporting, dashboard development, and data visualization best practices.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related analytical tools.
    • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles. Familiarity with Ellucian Data Models and Colleague data structures.
    • Experience with Power BI or other modern visualization platforms.
    • Knowledge of enrollment, finance, advancement, and student success metrics.
    • Experience supporting executive leadership reporting.
