Director of Planned Giving

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design and execute the annual Planned Giving Program strategy.
- →Maintain and grow the planned giving portfolio through a strategic combination of one-on-one donor engagement as well as broad marketing and communications.
- →Manage all vendor relationships associated with the planned giving program.
- →Determine projections for the annual planned giving program.
- →Manage the legacy society program in order to engage and deepen the connection between society members and CRI.
- →Partner with individual giving and major giving team members in order to integrate planned giving conversations across donor engagement channels.
- →Collaborate with the marketing team to create planned giving campaigns and collateral in order to effectively communicate CRI’s planned giving program.
- →Partner with Finance in overseeing the processing of legacy gift agreements and incoming estate gifts.
- →Act as the CRI expert in respect to planned giving by remaining updated on any evolving trends and educating development and finance team members.
- →Leverage CRM in order to track donor engagement and relationship moves management.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum 7 years non-profit development experience with direct donor stewardship and solicitation, or similar relevant experience in mission-oriented sales.
- Minimum 3 years planned giving experience, including face-to-face planned gift solicitations and managing a portfolio of 75 donors.
- Experience working with a diverse community of stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, will consider additional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- In-depth familiarity with planned giving mechanisms.
- Proficient using CRM, Google, Microsoft, Slack, professional communication tools, and project management software.
