In addition, this position will support cyber-informed design initiatives and operational technology considerations for critical facility environments.
- Lead electrical engineering efforts for multiple active projects through planning, design, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration phases.
- Coordinate electrical systems design with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders to achieve integrated project solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients regarding electrical infrastructure, power distribution, resiliency, and project objectives.
- Perform technical reviews of electrical engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure quality, constructability, maintainability, and code compliance.
- Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality management activities.
- Conduct field observations, jobsite visits, and construction meetings to verify installation quality and support issue resolution.
- Mentor engineering staff and contribute to technical development, quality improvement, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Support the implementation and verification of cyber-informed design principles and operational technology security requirements for critical infrastructure projects.
- Apply and interpret NIST SP 800-82 guidance and industry best practices when evaluating operational technology systems supporting electrical and MEP infrastructure.
- Coordinate with clients, facility operators, technology consultants, and engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with connected building systems and operational technology networks.
- Lead workshops and technical discussions related to facility resiliency, operational continuity, and cyber-informed design strategies.
- Track and document compliance status, risk assessments, and recommendations through project reports and owner updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in electrical engineering design, project delivery, and construction administration.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering efforts for large and complex facilities, including healthcare, commercial, science and technology, higher education, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- Ability to independently review electrical and multidisciplinary engineering designs with minimal supervision.
- Ability to oversee, mentor, and provide technical leadership to engineering staff and project teams.
- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure systems, power distribution, emergency power, and facility resiliency concepts.
- Experience coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Familiarity with operational technology systems, cyber-informed design principles, NIST SP 800-82, or critical infrastructure security considerations preferred.
- Strong communication, project management, and client relationship skills.
- We are relentless in our pursuit of client adoration (not simply satisfaction). Consistent delivery of the best service is what we are about.
- We are committed to ensuring our practice provides equal opportunities for all employees, as we strive to connect with communities around us and focus on the future of design. We support equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts that benefit all employees through the leadership of our DEI Council, our Employee Resource Groups which are open to everyone, and other community initiatives.
- We’re about communication and transparency here. If you want to talk to someone about an idea you have, or a challenge that needs addressing, we’re ready for you.
