Summary: The Engineering Intern will support cross-functional engineering efforts across manufacturing, materials, and product development. This role provides hands-on exposure to aerospace hardware, including thermal protection systems, composites, and soft goods fabrication, while contributing to real-world projects that impact production and R&D initiatives.

This is a 10-week summer internship program requiring full-time, onsite participation in Cape Canaveral, FL

Support engineering team with design, testing, and process improvement initiatives

Assist in development and documentation of manufacturing processes (work instructions, SOPs, travelers)

Participate in materials evaluation and testing (thermal, mechanical, or environmental as applicable)

Collaborate with production teams on root cause analysis and continuous improvement (Lean/5S)

Contribute to CAD modeling, drawings, and design updates (SolidWorks or similar)

Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting for engineering projects

Support prototype builds, validation testing, and product qualification efforts

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or related field

Completed at least sophomore year by Summer 2026

Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals (thermodynamics, materials, mechanics)

Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work full-time onsite in Ontario, CA for the duration of the 10-week program

Previous internship or hands-on project experience (FSAE, rocketry, labs, etc.)

Exposure to:

Composites or thermal protection systems
Aerospace materials (metals, honeycomb, ablatives, textiles like Kevlar/Nomex)
Manufacturing processes (CNC machining, cutting, bonding)
Experience with GD&T, MBD, or DFM principles

Duration: 10 weeks (Summer 2026)
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Hourly Pay: $25
Location: Cape Canaveral, FL

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Total compensation will also include a comprehensive set of benefits including but not limited to: Company paid employee medical, dental and vision insurance. Retirement plan participation (eligibility required), paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.
