General Manager

Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee our food service operations at the Genesee County Jail in Flint, Michigan.

• →Tigg's PREP Facilitator
• →Lead and supervise the daily food service operation.
• →Train, and coach, kitchen staff.
• →Ensure all meals are prepared and served according to company recipes, quality standards, and schedules.
• →Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
• →Manage food ordering, inventory, and cost controls.
• →Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
• →Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
• →Communicate effectively with facility personnel and company leadership.
• →Ensure excellent customer service while maintaining company policies and procedures.

• Previous management or supervisory experience in Correctional or Healthcare food service, institutional dining, or a high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional environment.
• Ability to read, follow, and enforce standardized recipes and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to successfully obtain facility security clearance.

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday (Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed.)
• Availability to work varying shifts between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
