You will work on engaging projects with some of the largest banks in the world, on projects that will transform the financial services industry.
This individual provides deep domain expertise to support claims operations, transformation initiatives, system implementations, and continuous process improvements. This role acts as a key bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring that life insurance claims processes are efficient, compliant, customer-centric, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert knowledge of end-to-end life insurance claims processes, including death, maturity, disability, and riders.
- Interpret and translate complex claims policies, regulations, and business rules into operational and system requirements.
- Serve as the go-to expert for claims-related queries from business, IT, and project teams.
- Work closely with IT, product, vendors, and project teams to support system enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Review and validate business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and test scenarios related to claims.
- Ensure technology solutions accurately reflect claims processes, controls, and compliance needs.
- Support claims transformation initiatives, including automation, digitization, and workflow optimization.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in current claims processes and recommend improvements.
- Participate in process redesign workshops and provide input on future-state operating models.
- Support UAT activities by reviewing test cases, validating results, and ensuring business readiness.
- Assist with data validation, migration checks, and post-implementation issue resolution.
- Support change management and business readiness activities for claims teams.
- Ensure claims processes and system solutions comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards.
- Support audit, risk, and compliance reviews related to life insurance claims.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in life insurance claims operations.
- Strong understanding of life insurance products, claims adjudication, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience working on system implementation, transformation, or automation projects as a business SME.
- Experience collaborating with IT, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Deep domain expertise in life insurance claims
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with claims systems, workflow tools, or core insurance platforms
- Strong attention to detail and compliance mindset
