Business Systems Analyst

Capco is looking for a highly technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Banking & Payments practice in Toronto. This role will suit someone who combines strong business analysis capabilities with hands-on technical expertise and enjoys solving complex challenges within financial services.

You will work closely with business, technology, data and architecture teams to understand highly manual processes and identify opportunities for automation. You will play an important role in translating business requirements into technical solutions, with a particular focus on SQL, Databricks and supporting the implementation of architecture that enables scalable automation.

• →Analyse complex, highly manual banking processes and identify opportunities to streamline and automate them.
• →Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, specifications, process flows and solution designs.
• →Use advanced SQL skills to interrogate, validate and analyse data, supporting requirements definition and solution delivery.
• →Work within Databricks environments to support data analysis, technical investigation and implementation activities.
• →Partner with architecture, engineering, data and business teams to support the implementation of scalable architecture and automation solutions.

• Strong experience as a technical Business Systems Analyst, ideally within banking, payments or financial services.
• Advanced SQL capability, with the ability to write, troubleshoot and optimize complex queries; strong SQL expertise is essential for this role.
• Hands-on technical experience working within Databricks environments and using data to support analysis and delivery.
• Experience supporting the implementation of technical architecture for automation, including translating requirements into practical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across business and technology stakeholders.

• Experience delivering automation initiatives that replace or improve highly manual operational processes.
• Understanding of modern data architectures, data pipelines and integration patterns within financial services.
• Experience working with large-scale banking or payments data and complex data environments.
• Exposure to process optimization, workflow automation or related automation technologies.
• Consulting experience working across multidisciplinary business, technology and architecture teams.
