Position Summary. Serves as the team’s principal Aviation operator and translates Aviation formation missions, command-and-control workflows, and operational employment into capability requirements, concepts, and modernization recommendations.
Principal Duties.

Analyze how Aviation formations command, control, plan, and execute operations in Large Scale Combat Operations and Multi-Domain Operations.

Translate operational tasks, conditions, standards, mission threads, and command-post workflows into CONOPS, capability gaps, requirements, and DOTMLPF-P recommendations.

Assess the operational integration of manned and unmanned aircraft, aviation command posts, ground formations, sensors, mission systems, and Joint partners.

Support development and review of JCIDS products, CBAs, CNAs, ICDs, CDDs, concepts, studies, and senior-leader decision products.

Facilitate operational working groups, Warfighter engagements, experimentation events, and coordination with capability and materiel developers.

Prepare analytical briefings, information and decision papers, executive summaries, meeting products, and trip reports.
Position-Specific Qualifications.

Former field-grade officer or senior warrant officer; a former senior NCO who completed the Master Leader Course may be considered with MSD Director approval.

At least five years of Aviation operations experience.

CGSC/ILE graduate unless an approved exception applies.

Aviation battalion or brigade S3/XO, command-post, air-ground integration, mission-planning, or comparable operational integration experience strongly preferred.

Combat-development and requirements-writing experience required.
