Software Engineer 3 - Linux/Bash/Python/Rust/Splunk/Kafka/CI/CD/Git

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who shall be part of a team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure.

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
• Recent software development experience using Rust and Python
• Experience using Splunk for data collection, message brokers, data storage, and presentation tools
• Experience interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible
  
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with Git Source Control System

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience with Elasticsearch
