BIM Manager

A Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager leads the digital strategy, implementation, and coordination of construction projects. They set company standards, oversee BIM models from design through handover, and bridge the gap between clients, design teams, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Standardization: Develop, implement, and enforce BIM execution plans (BEP) and employer's information requirements (EIR) across all projects.
• Team Leadership & Training: Manage BIM specialists and coordinators. Train staff, mentor junior modelers, and provide troubleshooting support.
• Collaboration & Clash Detection: Facilitate communication across architecture, engineering, and construction teams. Perform clash detection to resolve spatial conflicts before building begins.
• Quality Assurance (QA): Audit project teams to ensure compliance with BIM standards, technical parameters, and regulatory parameters.
• Software Management: Configure, maintain, and upgrade BIM and CAD software (like Revit or Navisworks) firm-wide.

Core Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience: Typically 5-8+ years in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, with hands-on modeling and coordination experience.
• Technical Skills: Deep proficiency in modeling and coordination software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Solibri).
• Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., CM-BIM or BIM certifications from Autodesk) are highly valued.
