Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Civil Project Manager/Engineer to lead land development and stormwater infrastructure projects from initial concept through construction completion. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies while directing a team of junior engineers and designers to deliver high-quality, permit-ready construction documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Design Leadership: Oversee and perform complex civil engineering designs, including site layout, grading, erosion control, and utility systems (water/sewer).
- Stormwater Specialist: Lead Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) modeling and design for stormwater management systems, detention/retention ponds, and water quality facilities.
- Project Management: Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets ($80k – $150k+ typical range) to ensure on-time and profitable delivery.
- Permitting & Entitlements: Coordinate with municipal, state, and federal agencies (e.g., Water Management Districts, FEMA) to secure all necessary environmental and building permits.
- Team Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing QA/QC reviews on all project deliverables, including plans, reports, and calculations.
- Client Relations: Prepare technical proposals, participate in client presentations, and represent the firm at public hearings or municipal commission meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Licensure: Current Professional Engineer (PE) license (state-specific or ability to obtain via comity within 6 months).
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years in land development, with a proven track record in both residential and commercial sectors.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software such as ICPR, HEC-RAS, or HydroCAD.
