Software Developer

Charles Schwab Asset Management is responsible for managing the Investment and Asset Managementbusinesses of Schwab. The Wealth Asset Management (WAM) Engineering team is part of the SchwabTechnology Services (STS) organization and this opportunity is on the Alternatives Investments andInsurance & Annuities Team.The Software Developer and Engineer will be responsible for:• Applies knowledge of data engineering fundamentals to independently implement operations fordata pipelines and storage systems for projects and programs within the designated business area.• Applies quality assurance testing methodologies and tools to independently conduct testing forprojects and programs within the designated business area.• Applies knowledge of requirements management, such as requirement analysis, organization, andvalidation, within the designated business area to meet current and future business needs.• Applies implemented security controls and records to independently monitor and administer asecure IT environment for projects and programs within the designated business area.• Applies software development standards, processes, and methods independently to create, test,and verify software components, ensuring reliability and resolving operational problems and bugs,for projects and programs within the designated business area.• Applies software release and deployment practices, such as managing the deployment of softwareupdates and ensuring compliance with safety, security, and quality standards, for projects andprograms within the designated business area.• Applies design concepts to independently develop system design components and models, ensuringcompatibility with cloud computing architectures, utilizing [specific adaptive approach] for lifecyclemodels and methodologies.• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement effective system designand architecture approaches• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement effective software releaseand deployment approaches• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement effective softwaredevelopment practices, following established standards, processes, and methods to create, test, andverify software components, ensuring reliability and addressing operational issues and bugs.

• Educational knowledge of the Agile process• Educational experience with GitHub CI/CD a plus• Educational experience with a coding language. C# DotNet, Angular, TypeScript, PCF and MS SQL are a plus

• 6 months + of Schwab Technology domain experience gained as a current or recent contractor or employee
