Elderly Service Worker

Responsible for the planning and development of a variety of social and recreational activities based within a busy senior center. 

• →Responsible for the planning and implementation of a variety of special events and trips for senior citizens.
• →Responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the senior center.
• →Assist in the provision of information & referral, advocacy, and crisis intervention services.
• →Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts for all center activities.
• →Coordinate services with other providers within the community.
• →Maintain accurate records pertaining to all center activities.
• →Perform related work as required.

• 1-2 years of experience working in Human Services preferred.
• Prior experience working with senior citizens in a social/recreational setting.
• Prior experience working in a community-based human service agency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
