Adastra is seeking a driven and curious Data Product Analyst who is passionate about turning data into meaningful insights that shape business and product strategy. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of data, product, and business, serving as a critical bridge between stakeholders, analytics teams, and data management groups. You will help teams unlock the full value of their data through scalable solutions, actionable analytics, strong data stewardship practices, and thoughtful storytelling.

 

You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact digital initiatives—analyzing user behavior, optimizing engagement and monetization strategies, and influencing decisions that directly impact customer experiences. This role combines strong analytical capabilities with business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and process improvement. The ideal candidate brings experience in digital, D2C, and/or sports & entertainment environments, excels at building relationships across business and technical teams, and has a proven ability to lead multiple analytics initiatives simultaneously from discovery through delivery.

 

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into data models, KPIs, user stories, and scalable data solutions
  • Act as a trusted Data Subject Matter Expert across the end-to-end data lifecycle
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, helping translate business objectives into actionable data and product initiatives
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytics tools
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, and Business teams to deliver data-driven solutions
  • Elicit, document, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and process analysis
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and align priorities based on business value, impact, complexity, and risk
  • Ensure requirements traceability through development, testing, deployment, and post-launch validation
  • Define acceptance criteria and support user testing and validation activities
  • Monitor and improve data quality through profiling, validation, remediation, and data stewardship practices
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, business-friendly recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Analyze digital interactions across web, mobile, streaming, ticketing, and D2C platforms
  • Deliver insights on user behavior, engagement, retention, conversion, content performance, and monetization trends
  • Connect and enrich data across multiple systems to enable new business and customer insights
  • Lead multiple concurrent analytics and data product initiatives, balancing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
  • Drive alignment across business, product, engineering, and analytics teams to ensure successful delivery of data-driven solutions
  • Continuously improve data processes, workflows, reporting capabilities, and documentation standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, business analysis, or similar roles
  • Experience working in digital, D2C, and/or sports & entertainment environments is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with clickstream, customer engagement, media, or digital analytics data
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar digital analytics platforms
  • Advanced SQL expertise, including strong proficiency in window functions such as RANK, DENSE_RANK, ROW_NUMBER, LEAD, and LAG
  • Strong Python skills for data analysis, exploration, transformation, and validation
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data ecosystems, including AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or similar technologies
  • Working knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern data architectures
  • Experience gathering requirements, creating user stories, process mapping, and translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of data stewardship principles, including data quality, lineage, metadata management, and responsible data use
  • Ability to connect data across multiple systems and datasets to generate actionable insights
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decisions across teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to both technical and business audiences
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build alignment across teams
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent initiatives and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical thinking, critical problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities effectively

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, or enterprise data quality initiatives
  • Experience supporting customer journey analytics, audience segmentation, or personalization use cases
  • Experience working within Agile product development environments
