Parts Warehouse Supervisor

7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, Saturdays when needed

This position is responsible for supervising the Parts Warehouse employees.

• Oversee parts warehouse employees scheduling
• Manage warehouse organization and employee work duties
• Inventory control and other administrative duties.
• Review and manage all parts performance reports (Cores, warranty, backorders)
• Occasional forklift or pickup truck operation.
• Assist with hose assembly when needed.
• Review and oversee all warehousing logistics concerns
• Fill in when emergencies arise in the parts warehouse area.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous parts team leadership and/or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Parts Department functions with 3-4 years of parts experience or equivalent.
• Product knowledge and familiarity with Caterpillar products, diesel/gas engines, electric power generation equipment, construction equipment, on-highway trucks, and/or other industrial products required.

• Must be a self-starter with good time management, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to detail.
• Ability to train hydraulic hose assemblies as needed.
• Computer literate, PC experience with MS Office Outlook, Excel, Word, and knowledge of DBSI preferred.
• Previous forklift and pallet jack experience needed.
• Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
• Customer service experience needed. Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs.
• Ability to lift 75lbs safely, climb ladders and stairs daily.
• Local travel required for delivery back-up or to attend training.
• College or technical degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is needed with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate)

This position works in both office and warehouse environments with some outside exposure. May, on a continuous basis sit at a desk for long periods of time, answer phone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. May on a continuous basis, walk, climb, bend and lift up to 75lbs. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e., safety glasses with side shields, safety gloves, and safety toe footwear) is required. Noise level in the office is usually low and the noise level in the warehouse may range from low to moderate. Must be flexible during peak season working overtime as needed. Occasional local travel may be required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
