Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to a fleet of light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks. The fleet also includes CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- →Perform services and repairs to diesel engines, brakes, tires, AC, and regular PM services are required.
- →Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
- →Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
- →Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- →Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
- →Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
- →Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
- →Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
- →Perform other duties as required
- At least 5+ years experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
- Experience servicing and repairing CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment – highly desired
- ASE Certifications – preferred
- Must have valid Driver’s License- Class C
- Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle
- Must provide own hand tools & toolbox
This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
