AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. a fast-growing multinational property and casualty insurance company has an immediate need for a Paralegal in their New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Staff Counsel team in Princeston New Jersy
Responsibilities
~1 min readReview and analysis of files before scheduled hearings, including written pre-hearing reports for multiple attorneys;• Pulling, organizing and bookmarking medical records on a regular basis;• Scheduling examinations with vendors and facilities;• Working with vendors to request and obtain records via subpoena/medical authorization; following up and organizing/summarizing upon receipt;• Composing routine correspondence, taking calls from attorneys, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and courts;• Experience working in an all-inclusive document management platform is required
This is a deadline-driven work environment. The ability to stay organized, self-motivate, work independently and on a collaborative team is vital. Excellent time management a must
Requirements

- The ideal applicant would have 3+ years of litigation experience.
- 2 + years of Workers compensation defense exposure
- An associate or bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate is a plus.
- Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing deadlines.
- The position requires reading and comprehending complex instructions from attorneys and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
The expected salary range for this role is $26/hr-$36/hr
