Reporting to the Superintendent of Mine Engineering, the Drill and Blast Engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and optimization of drilling and blasting activities to facilitate a safe, productive and cost-effective program. This role will work closely with the Short-Range Planner to ensure drill, blast, and mining activities meet the required business goals.

Location: Blackwater Mine Site

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

● Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.● Ability to work effectively as part of a team effort as well as individually.● Strong interpersonal with both oral and written communication skills.● Experience using Power BI and Power Query● Experience generating power automate workflows● Experience using VBA scripts to automate excel based work processes● Ability to work at a remote camp location on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.● Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift.● Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.● Start up and production experience an asset.● Short Range Planning experience considered an asset as mine technical coverage will be required.
