About the Role
~1 min read- End-to-end payroll processing for multiple Australian payrolls in Employment Hero (KeyPay) including STP reports and submissions (approximately 220 people)
- Ensure superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workers’ Compensation is lodged in a compliant and timely manner
- Ongoing maintenance of employee records: onboarding, offboarding, internal transfers and contract variations
- Stay up to date with legislative and system updates (we have a membership with APA) and support training
- Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently
- Support global payroll processing team as required
- Conduct compliance reviews and identify areas for improvement
- Develop, document and streamline payroll processes for Australia
- Support ad hoc payroll projects as required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in payroll accounting
- Must have experience running end-to-end Australian payroll (4+ years’ experience)
- Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with payroll software and databases
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail, delivering accurate, high-quality work consistently
- Strong time management, prioritisation, and multitasking skills
- Effective communicator with a commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Proven ability to meet deadlines within a team-oriented environment
- Desire to improve process and enhance experience
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems, Employment Hero, Deputy, or HiBob.
- Familiarity with multi-company payroll structures.
- Experience on payroll accounting or payroll analysis in Australia, APAC, or EMEA regions is a plus.
- Experience with award interpretation and experience administering options is not a must but an advantage
