The RN Supervisor manages nursing/ATC's activities for multiple departments, provides clinical expertise in the nursing process, and coordinates care across all staffing levels.

Responsibilities

Manages daily nursing activities and workflow of Patient Care Department(s) in conjunction with orthopedic/sports medicine adminstrative team. Performs essential job functions of direct reports. Coordinates activities of Patient Care Support staff in collaboration with ATC Coordinator Recommends and initiates various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions; make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks. Resolves work related issues, or assists employees in solving work related issues. Participates in development, planning and monitoring of fiscal budget(s). Assists in development and review of department policies, procedures, standing orders, and competencies. Manages scheduling practices in all areas Serves as Administrative approval for employee timecards Participates in supervisor rotation for daily safety call for departments, completes event reporting follow up review Monitors work ques Schedules orientation and coordination of training new/existing staff Serves in the role of Orthopaedic Program Coordinator in collaboration with the Joint Accreditation Program Coordinator.

Requirements

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); National Nursing Certification within 3 years - Varies; Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Education: Bachelor's Degree: Nursing (Required), Work Experience: Nursing

The compensation range for this position is $41per hour - $70.52per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
