We have an exciting opportunity for Opiate Recovery Coordinator to join our Croxteth team who have the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they acess the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.  

 

About the Role

  • Manage a caseload of individuals accessing structured treatment for opiate dependence.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction advice.
  • Support individuals prescribed opioid substitution treatment (OST), ensuring regular reviews and close partnership working with prescribing clinicians.
  • Promote recovery capital by supporting access to education, employment, housing, healthcare, family support, and community resources.
  • Facilitate regular key working sessions, monitoring progress and adapting recovery plans where appropriate.
  • Carry out safeguarding responsibilities for adults and children, escalating concerns in accordance with local and organisational procedures.
  • Encourage engagement with peer support, mutual aid groups, and recovery communities.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, mental health services, probation, housing providers, social care, and other partner agencies to deliver coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic case records in accordance with CGL policies and data protection legislation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and clinical supervision.
  • Support individuals through planned treatment completion, aftercare, and sustained recovery.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by opiate use.
  • Excel in both verbal and written communication, with proficient IT skills.
  • Demonstrate proactive qualities, working independently with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Hold a strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Thrive as a supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit the ability to navigate change effectively, always prioritising the needs of service users.
  • Recognise the significance of information governance processes and commit to adhering to all necessary safeguards.
  • Pursue continuous learning opportunities to enhance your professional knowledge and skills, while also contributing to the growth and development of your colleagues.
