Guided by our values of Be Open, Be Compassionate and Be Bold, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Programmes Facilitator to join our team at HMP Exeter.

 

 

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering impactful psychosocial interventions and believes in the power of groups to inspire reflection, build resilience and support meaningful behaviour change. As a Programmes Facilitator, you will empower people affected by drug and alcohol use to build brighter futures through recovery-focused programmes.

 

About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and evidence-based psychosocial group interventions.
  • Facilitate the Atlas Programme and other structured groupwork.
  • Encourage participation, challenge thinking patterns and support behaviour change.
  • Conduct assessments and determine suitability for interventions.
  • Provide motivational one-to-one support to enhance engagement in recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with prison staff, healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
  • Support reduced harm, improved wellbeing and successful reintegration into the community.
  • Experience delivering or supporting group-based psychosocial interventions.
  • Strong understanding of recovery principles and behaviour change.
  • Ability to create safe, inclusive and engaging group environments.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and positive outcomes.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance.
