About the Role

  • Lead mortality investigations within the service and produce internal and external reports (for example, coroners reports and CQC notifications)
  • Maintain internals records in regards to CQC report submissions
  • Provide quality assurance (QA) support for external facing reports
  • Train and coach managers in investigation and report writing skills
  • Triage and identify risk to the organisation and service users
  • Working alongside local and regional leadership teams to support improvement planning
  • Recognise when policies and procedures aren't working and increasing risk to the organisation and / or service users
  • Oversee the quality of the incident reporting process and investigation procedures

 

 

  

  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills  
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills  
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the service to ensure that contractual output targets are achieved 
  • Maintain excellent communication and reporting systems with relevant regulatory bodies and the Patient Safety Team within the Local Authority 
  • Develop good communication networks to share learning across the region and the organisation 
  • Ensure that constructive, positive, and supportive relationships are maintained with relevant stakeholders
