As a Recovery Coordinator within the Women’s Hub at Change Grow Live (CGL), you will play a vital role in supporting women who are experiencing challenges related to substance misuse, homelessness, sexual violence, domestic abuse, trauma, and social exclusion. Working within a trauma-informed and person-centred environment, you will empower women to make positive changes, build resilience, and achieve sustainable recovery outcomes.

 

The role involves managing a caseload of women with complex and multiple needs, providing  recovery planning, risk management, and ongoing support. You will work collaboratively with partner agencies, including housing providers, safeguarding teams, mental health services, domestic abuse services, probation, and healthcare professionals, to ensure women receive coordinated and holistic care. You will be  based full time at our new Womens hub on Belmont Road Liverpool.

 

 

About the Role

  • Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey 
  • To engage with women who have drug & alcohol issues and provide them with varying levels of advice, screening and clinical interventions to address their drug & alcohol issues, and primary health care needs (including blood borne viruses).
  • To develop/provide advice and information specifically for women.
  • Facilitate and develop a therapeutic women’s group, enabling and motivating service users to engage and progress in their recovery.
  • To promote change grow live and develop links with the local women’s community groups and partner agencies.
  • Actively plan and engage with underrepresented groups
  • To be creative and innovative so that the post best meets the needs of female service users, promoting access into treatment.

  • Prior knowledge and experience of working with women with complexed needs
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills 
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills 
  • Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice 
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders 
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users 
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards 
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
