We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Young Persons Team Leader to join our team. As a Team Leader at Change Grow Live, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery. You will lead the delivery of services that support children, young people and their families to overcome substance misuse. You will be responsible for line management of practitioners, alongside the operational management and strategic development of the service, ensuring consistently high professional standards. The role requires a strong focus on young people, promoting harm reduction and resilience, and leading a professional, values-driven team culture committed to excellent service delivery.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Change Grow Live - Branching Out in the role of Team Leader for Children and Families in Tameside (Greater Manchester).
Branching Out is a confidential drug and alcohol service for young people aged up to the age of 25 in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester. We offer advice and support to young people who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol. This support offered includes specialist care planned interventions, brief interventions, targeted group work, outreach, and training. The service also offers support to concerned others who need support around someone else's substance use and children and young people who are impacted by the substance use of a loved one (Hidden Harm). The service works in a holistic way and works closely with local partners in ensuring a multi-agency approach to supporting children and young people.
Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for supervising and leading a dedicated and passionate team of staff.
Responsibilities include providing support to staff in relation to case management and engagement, providing quality and effective supervision, ensuring achievement against key performance indicators, and taking on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the service.
The post holder will therefore require experience of working with children and young people and an understanding of the complex issues and concerns that they face. The post holder will have previous experience of supervising staff and the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the need to deliver excellent support to children and young people accessing the service. You will also have experience in managing safeguarding concerns and an ability to lead and motivate a team.

- Knowledge and experience of developing and leading health and social care services.
- Knowledge and experience of delivering services which evidence high performance and quality standards.
- Experience of culture and change management, staff engagement, service improvement.
- Experience of effective partnership working, relationship management, pathway and protocol development.

You will be able to demonstrate:
- Ability to lead, inspire and develop a team.
- Expertise in developing positive working cultures and relationships, embedded in CGL values.
- Skills which demonstrate effective communication in a variety of formats to a broad audience.
- Confidence in working alone while following local risk management policies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in tough situations.
- The Capability to apply reasoned non-judgemental analysis to the investigation of incidents (including the death of clients) and to produce high quality investigation reports.
