Dental Hygiene Assistant

Pay: Starting at $18/hour

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 5:00pm and Friday 7:45am - 1:00pm 

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Dr. J Pediatric Dentistry, an affiliate of CHORD Specialty Dental Partners, has an immediate opportunity available for a Dental Assistant! 

Are you a Dental Assistant who is passionate about making a difference in patients' oral health? Do you take pride in providing exceptional care and educating patients on the importance of oral hygiene? If so, Dr. J Pediatric Dentistry is the place for you!

• →Must be able to work in a pediatric, child friendly environment
• →Review all hygiene patient charts including; reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirement
• →Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards
• →Have coronal polishing certification - We are able to provide a sealant course! 
• →Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian
• →Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns
• →Charting all existing/missing teeth, existing restorations, and/or dental procedures
• →Obtaining all x-rays necessary in the best quality possible
• →Maintaining accurate clinical notes of each visit
• →Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards. This includes; scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizer
• →Must maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state

• Must have Coronal polish Certification
• Must have X-ray License (provisional license at minimum)
• Must be willing to be OR certified
• Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification
