Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work in a kid-friendly environment
  • Understand Chord’s policy on working with health benefit plans and be prepared to educate patients on their specific benefits
  • Work with the Doctor to diagnose and prepare treatment plans, assist the patient in prioritizing treatment, and present treatment fees and discuss financial arrangements with patients.
  • Contact patients/parents to schedule treatment and/or discuss payment options for Medicaid approvals/denials, private insurance patients, and self-pay patients
  • Notify patients of co-payments and co-payment requirements upon scheduling
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • 1-2 years previous orthodontic experience
  • A broad-based understanding of the orthodontic treatment process
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be available to travel between locations to meet operational needs

 

Preferred, but not required:

  • Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills/knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Cloud9
  • Experience working with various medical/dental insurance plans including Medicaid
