Our nonprofit senior living community is looking for a compassionate, creative, and organized Activities Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents, while honoring their dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

As an Activities Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our resident experience, helping to plan, coordinate, and bring to life engaging daily, weekly, and monthly activities. Your work will help foster connection, wellness, and joy throughout our community.
- →Coordinating fun and meaningful in-house events and community outings
- →Assisting with planning, setup, staffing, and execution of activities and classes
- →Creating flyers, sign-up sheets, newsletters, and monthly calendars
- →Supporting resident excursions and ensuring safety at all times
- →Collaborating with transportation and other departments to manage reservations and attendance
- →Communicating with residents and families to confirm activity participation
- →Maintaining accurate records, purchase orders, and deadlines
- →Creating a welcoming, calm, and uplifting environment for residents and staff
- →Upholding confidentiality, resident rights, and our mission-driven values
- →Promoting a lifestyle centered on wellness, purpose, and healthy living
You’re a people-person with a big heart, strong organizational skills, and a passion for working with seniors. You’re dependable, creative, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma and minimum age of 18
- Experience with activity planning, scheduling, or program development
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher)
- Ability to remain calm, make decisions independently, and adapt as needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate, respectful approach
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience in senior living or wellness programming
- Knowledge of gerontology and aging-related needs
- Basic First Aid/CPR knowledge
- Physical stamina to assist with activities and resident support
