IT Upgrade Technician, WIN11

Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Windows 11 Deployment Technician to support an enterprise-wide device refresh and upgrade initiative. This is a contract opportunity supporting onsite deployment activities in Upper Saddle River, NJ.  As a consultant you are eligible for some benefits.

We are seeking experienced and professional Windows 11 Deployment Technicians to support a large-scale desktop and laptop refresh initiative. This role will focus on hardware replacement, Windows 11 upgrades, troubleshooting, and end-user support. Candidates must have prior Windows 11 upgrade experience and be comfortable working independently after initial training.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with onsite teams to minimize business disruption.

This will be a contract opportunity (9-11 weeks)

The offering pay is $35/hr.

Onsite: M-F

• →Perform physical replacement of incompatible desktops and laptops as part of a structured refresh project
• →Execute Windows 11 upgrades on compatible devices
• →Troubleshoot upgrade failures and perform remediation to ensure successful deployment
• →Transfer user data and validate application functionality post-upgrade
• →Coordinate with site teams and end users to minimize downtime and operational disruption
• →Document device status, deployment progress, and update asset management systems accurately
• →Lift and transport equipment (up to 30 lbs as needed) during device replacement activities
• →Diagnose and resolve Windows 11 configuration, driver, and compatibility issues

• Prior hands-on experience performing Windows 11 upgrades and device refresh projects
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to OS upgrades, drivers, user profiles, and application compatibility
• Experience replacing desktops and laptops in enterprise environments
• Ability to work independently after initial direction and training
• Professional, mature demeanor with strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively independently
• Experience updating asset management or ticketing systems
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed
