Roadway Design Engineer

Consor North America, Inc. (Consor) is seeking a mid-level Roadway Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects in Colorado. This role is ideal for an engineer who is technically strong, growing into project leadership, and eager to expand their experience working alongside senior engineers and project managers on meaningful, multimodal infrastructure projects.

Salary: $115,000-140,000K (DOE)

• →Support the design and delivery of roadway and transportation projects, ensuring quality standards, schedules, and budgets are met.
• →Perform roadway design tasks including horizontal and vertical alignments, typical sections, drainage concepts, and traffic control plans.
• →Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E) under the guidance of senior engineers.
• →Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams (traffic, drainage, utilities, structures, environmental).
• →Assist with project scoping, budgeting, and QA/QC reviews.
• →Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and design documentation.
• →Participate in internal project meetings and coordination with clients and stakeholders.
• →Support proposal efforts through technical write-ups, scope development, and cost estimates.
• →Participate in professional development, mentoring, and training opportunities.

• 6+ years of experience in roadway or transportation engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with the ability to obtain PE within a defined timeframe.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of roadway design standards (AASHTO, CDOT, and local municipal criteria).
• Proficiency with roadway design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
