Banquet Server - Hotel Polaris (On-Call)

• →Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
• →Ability to read and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
• →Performs all guest contact activities such as serving food and beverage, responding to guest’s inquiries in cordial, efficient and professional manner
• →Ensures food and beverage is served while maintaining a consistent presentation and proper temperature
• →Delivers food and beverage items to guests
• →Offers product knowledge of food and beverage to guests
• →Provides general hotel information for guests
• →Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Hotel Polaris
• →Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all amenities as well as any special events
• →Interacts with hotel staff in a professional manner
• →Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
• →Communicates all pertinent information to the banquets team
• →Maintains constant awareness of safety issues. Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
• →Follows Banquet Event Orders with strong attention to detail
• →Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
• →Ensures proper handling, cleaning and sanitation of equipment, china, glass and silver.
• →Communicate effectively with kitchen staff when food ordering expressing any special needs.

• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, push, pull frequently.
