Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality at the new Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy? Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Banquet Server to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Your efforts significantly influence the unique and distinctive experiences we seek to deliver to our guests and team members alike. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
- →Ability to read and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- →Performs all guest contact activities such as serving food and beverage, responding to guest’s inquiries in cordial, efficient and professional manner
- →Ensures food and beverage is served while maintaining a consistent presentation and proper temperature
- →Delivers food and beverage items to guests
- →Offers product knowledge of food and beverage to guests
- →Provides general hotel information for guests
- →Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Hotel Polaris
- →Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all amenities as well as any special events
- →Interacts with hotel staff in a professional manner
- →Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
- →Communicates all pertinent information to the banquets team
- →Maintains constant awareness of safety issues. Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
- →Follows Banquet Event Orders with strong attention to detail
- →Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
- →Ensures proper handling, cleaning and sanitation of equipment, china, glass and silver.
- →Communicate effectively with kitchen staff when food ordering expressing any special needs.
Requirements
~1 min read- Prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, squat, push, pull frequently.
